Noelle’s swim teacher told us tonight that she can move up to Eel!!

I’m just so proud of her. She is so advanced in everything she does!!! Be it letters, counting, athletics … oh my!!!

We had a little bit of an issue when Nicky started complaining about swimming a couple of weeks ago. All of a sudden, Noelle started complaining and causing trouble, too. I had a talk with both of them after that and they both did better at the next class. Nicky is probably opting out of swim lessons. Two things are at play, I think … one is that he hates to do things wrong, he is quite the perfectionist … and two is that he is still very nervous about being out in the deep end. He’d been saying he didn’t want to do swim lessons again, but I it may be that watching his class and Noelle today has him rethinking that decision. Tonight he tells me he has not made a decision.

Noelle, though, is quite adamant that she wants to continue!

(I may see if I can move us to lessons in the pool that is closer on Saturday mornings … I think that’ll be easier for us than Sunday evenings.)
