I get this question lots.

He is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever known.

Noelle was struggling with her shoes this morning and I shouted to her in passing, just wait a minute, honey, either Nicky or I will help you. The next time I walked by, there is Nicky helping her put her shoes on and tying them for her. Stand up. Sit down. As he tried to help her shove her foot in over the top of the heel.

I gave “good jobs” all around.

After brushing my teeth, I wander back to the kitchen and there they are. Nicky is patiently helping Noelle untie her shoes. It turns out that she changed her mind and wanted to put on her sandals.

He does get frustrated with her at times, as we all do, but he is a sweetie most of the time.

After getting Noelle strapped into her car seat this morning, I realized I’d forgotten something. I popped back in to find it and when I got back to the kitchen there was Nicky. He told me he was looking for Noelle’s blankie. She needed it.

He is adding a world of delight and wonder and joy to our lives.
