A Good and Giggly Night …

Posted on Tuesday, May 16th, 2006 at 9:29 pm

… to make up for last night.

I was grumpy last night, for no good reason. So it goes. The kids didn’t seem to notice, though. They giggled through tubby and books. I suppose it was probably a combo of physiology, hearing from Noelle’s teacher that she caught Noelle sticking a whole little ring in her mouth (argh, she never did this stuff as an infant), the freaking ants (yes, yes … calling an exterminator is on my to do list), and Noelle’s 3 accidents (which involved poop on the floor). Sigh. My little girl has some unvocalized anxiety happening, hmm. After pooping in her pull-up (b/c after the 2nd pool of pee I was done), she said to me, “Momma, I should wear diapers like a baby.”

Tonight was cheerful for all of us, though. Noelle was dry all day, even!!! I picked the kids up and we went out for dinner at the Chinese buffet we like. Yummy. Yummy. I think, though, that Nicky may be losing his Chinese which makes me sad. However, even if we start going to Chinese school on the weekends, its not going to be enough to keep his Chinese. Afterwards, we went to Target to buy their cousin Benny a rather belated birthday gift, some ink for the printer, some cleaning supplies, and the dog food we discovered was on sale.

The kids were great.

We came home and the played out side for awhile. Then they had a grand time in tubby. We have this ball with suction cups and they threw it at the walls behind one another. Giggle. Giggle. Nicky’s English is coming along so well, “Momma, I take a turn, Noelle takes a turn, I take a turn.” :-)

Giggle, giggle through getting dressed and books and then down to bed pretty easy.

I wish all days could be like this. :-)
