Daddies

A conversation with a 2 year old and 6 year old about Daddies at 7:30 in the morning can leave one’s head fuzzy. Nicky’s been talking about Daddies more … picking the word out of songs and other things he hears and then initiating a conversation. Hearing the word always prompts him to mention his Xinjiang Daddy. The two kids got each other going on the topic this morning and we ended up discussing why I wasn’t married.

Well, that is until we arrived at school and Noelle threw a royal fake crying fit because I parked in the wrong spot.

Man, my head is still fuzzy!! :-) I think it is time to turn my head and thoughts to writing white papers about Portico, the topic is less tricky and fraught with societal mores.

There are some new photos of our insanely busy weekend posted in the March/April photo album. On Saturday, we went grocery shopping, shopping at the toy store for a present for Olivia, drove out to Great Grandma’s for lunch with her and Aunt Susie, skipped over to see Kathy and the girls, hung out with them at their home for awhlie, went out for soup and sandwiches, and then hit Chuck e Cheese. We didn’t get home until 10:30!!! Sunday the kids watched some cartoons and then I confiscated the TV to watch the news shows while doing laundry and otherwize putzing around the house. We baked and frosted cup cakes, did some art projects, played outside. Phew! A good weekend, all around.
