Sorry for the silence.  I’m going to try and catch up with some posts.  I think it may work out from here on in that I can do photos or blog entries, but not both at the same time.   We went ahead and got internet access in Daddy’s room only, in Guangzhou.

Urumqi is very dirty. If you spend an hour out and about shopping or walking, when you come back in and wash your hands, the soap turns grey. Its very much like Moscow was 10 years ago.
