Sorry For The Silence

Posted on Tuesday, March 28th, 2006 at 7:23 pm

Sorry to be so quiet.

We are all good. Recovering from the jet lag, but doing well. Peng did a 1/2 day of school today, just fine. Noelle flipped out when they went outside in the afternoon, because Nicky wasn’t there.

Tomorrow, we have a full day at CHOP and our initial doctor’s visits. Its quite the day, as we’ll see the international adoption doc, the spina bifida specialist, the spina bifida orthopedist, and the neurosurgeon. It looks like we’ve got everything lined up. Lots of confirmation from lots of places that CHOP and all the docs are in the PPO network. Found out today that the international adoption doc wants us to come with a “prescription” for an O/T eval, but I was able to get that from the pediatrician. CHOP knew my pediatrician (he was already in their computer system) and can shoot all the reports over to him as part of their standard course of events, so that’s pretty cool.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I think that will become more managable when I get over the jet lag. I’m still dead exhausted from 2pm on if I don’t nap and even if I do nap, I have such a hard time waking up from it and have that burning sensation in my eyes for hours afterwards. Its an early night in the Kirchhoff household tonight, let me tell you. Both kids were asleep by 7:15 and I’m going to follow shortly.
