And he is sitting beside me playing with his Gameboy. (I know, I know, all you adoption experts out there are telling me to interact and bond, but we’ve done lots of that — I was going to hold off on the Gameboy, but Noelle pulled out her Leapster. BTW — what rules does one apply to sharing. Must all toys be shared at all times? Something for us to work through, I guess.)

The hand-off was a bit shaky as he came into the Civil Affairs office in tears. Lily, our guide, explained a bit later that he was very concerned about communication. His eyes were so puffy and red I think he must have been crying for the whole ride from the SWI. Noelle had a number of melt downs today herself. She was so, so tired.

We did a whirlwind of paperwork and office visits. Civil Affairs to the photo shop, back to Civil Affairs, to the Notary and then we were free. We came back to the hotel and managed lunch. Peng was very clear on which items he wanted from the buffet and which he did not. Then it was up to the room to just hang out. All of us were/are pretty exhausted.

Now, I suppose, I have to figure out what we are doing for supper. At this moment, I’m thinking that snack mix in the room sounds just pefect.
