Trying to Reach Some Zen Peace
A veritable flood of TAs are being received today by most all agencies.
Anyone logged in between 11/8th (or thereabouts) and 12/23 seems to be getting them.
BTW — I was logged in on 11/11 and have waited 105 days, while folks logged in on 12/23 have waited 63. This bodes well for everyone behind me in line and I wish I wasn’t the type of person who was jealous of the folks who only waited 63 days. I am that kind of person, though.
I should be happy and excited, but right now I’m frustrated. How many days in a row can one take the mid-day adrenalin rush of hope and end of day realization that travel plans will not be made this day? A family who has only waited 65 days just received their TA and their agency thinks they can have them on a plane in a week on next Friday. I have this sinking fear that I’m going to be bumped to a late consulate appointment because all these other folks who have waited far less than I have are going to get in line before me. That does not make me a particularly nice person, I know.
I’m trying to get past that, because we really won’t know until Monday what that consulate appointment will be (assuming that TA does arrive today). If that TA arrives today, it should be a day of celebration and looking forward to travel and life as a family of 3. I think I’ll get to the place by this evening.
In all likelihood, my TA will be here this afternoon or evening.
More info later …
