On my way to bed, I always check on Noelle (who, btw, went to bed like a big girl tonight and was sound asleep before my, promised, 10 minute check). This evening, she’s at a right angle to where she should be, with her feet on the wall and her head dangling over the edge. The pillow I lay lengthwise along the edge of the bed as a cushion to keep her from falling off (or at least from falling off too hard ) is on the floor.

I lean over to shift her to put her head on the pillow and she mumbles, “not now.” Which is what I hear all the time from her, “Not now, Momma. 2 minutes.”

Where’d she learn that?!?!?

Even in her sleep ….
