Outnumbered at 11:00
Oh, I am so, so, so outnumbered already — it could make a girl just a whee bit anxious about the future when the number of children in the household is doubled.
At the moment I've got Noelle and the dog in bed wtih me and must say, there is really no room for Peng in this particular family picture. I'm going to need a bigger bed come February!!
(Don't get me wrong, when I'm not trying to work in bed, I love the cuddle time that comes with having the little girl next to me, lots of cheery giggles — she brings me such joy.)
I'm trying to push through some work-work as we've got a looming deadline. However, Noelle wants to look at the photos on my website and is crawling all over the place. Gasp, she had a 3 hour nap at school and at the potluck dinner at daycare this evening had several cups of root beer and got nicely sugared up. She went to bed fine, but woke up at about 11:00 pm and is all wired.
The dog, on the other hand, is a big old lump who is very happy that I've included her in the whole bed and bedtime scenario.
(No Sex in the City when Noelle is in bed with me, I have to settle for the news in the background — which has its own freaky stuff, I'm not actually sure its “better” for her than Sex in the City.)
I had meant to get this work done earlier, but we got all this water and ice and I was so worried about getting iced in tomorrow (turns out, I need not have been, its warmer now, at 11:30pm, than it has been in 7 days). So, I cleaned out the garage after getting the little girl to bed the first time, pulled the car in (I got most of Peng's furniture in the house this weekend), and salted the drive and walk ways. Then, there were Xmas packages to wrap. It did not leave much time for work-work. So, now I'm trying to do it with the little girl's head balanced on my arms and smack dab in the middle of my monitor and an achingly slow VPN connection. Sigh. Its not going to happen, is it?
